Contemporary Ninjutsu Training

While contemporary Ninjutsu training recognizes and adapts to modern technology, the core training remains much as it has for centuries.  Students learn a variety of combat techniques, their historical context, and their modern applications. Unlike many "martial arts", Ninjutsu has not been "watered down" to make it suitable for tournaments and demonstrations. The skills you learn today are the same skills that have been tested and proven in countless confrontations over the last millenium.

Ninjutsu classes are conducted in a relaxed traditional manner. The art is natural and the student is trained to use his or her gross motor skills. These skills are less likely to degrade over time and in a stressful environment. Students wear a black gi "uniform" during indoor training and street clothing during outdoor training. Students provide their own equipment. Classes can be on a variety of ninjutsu subjects from unarmed and weaponry forms to history to meditation to free fighting skills or even stealth and strategy.

The student learns a variety of skills designed to impart critical combat skill that can be used if attacked. This is a non-sport art. Students are taught to avoid confrontation if at all possible. Students are trained to see-feel the danger coming. If avoidance is not an option, students are well trained tactically how to deal with attackers. The skills of ninpo aid the student in his defense employing the same techniques used by the ninja of the past. Ninpo gives the student superior mindset, tactics and combat skills.
